Long Distance Moves

At Road Scholars Moving & Storage, we’re happy to take you wherever you want to go.

On long distance moves, we operate differently than most other moving companies:

• You have exclusive use of the truck. We don’t load someone else’s furniture and belongings in with yours, and we don’t stop in any other locations along the way. We pick up everything you own and go directly to your new home. This exclusivity eliminates the risk of mixing up shipments and delivering them to the wrong shippers. It also eliminates long delivery delays, which are stressful and can lead to expensive hotel stays while you’re waiting for your belongings.

• We use professional movers only. You’ll have the same crew throughout the entire move. We don’t just hire a driver and use temp workers along the way with the loading and unloading. Instead, we give you a professional, trained crew that makes your move as personalized and smooth as possible.

• The moving crew stays in touch with you the entire way, throughout the travel time. No surprise arrivals or surprise delays!

• We offer free pad-wrapping of all wood furniture and appliances and shrink-wrapping of all upholstered furniture. We strap down your furniture so that it’s tightly secured during transit. We also offer free loaner wardrobes, which you can use until you’re move is completed.

• We have packing services available and we also offer permanent and temporary storage space.

In most cases, on long distance moves, we can be very competitive with other carriers; however, sometimes due to the care we take in shipping your furniture, we’re not always competitive on smaller moves that are far from Denver.
